We thank God for the way in which He gave talent to generations of Christian poets and hymn-writers, and for the way in which they in the exercising of their gift gave further expression to the saying that ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’. It is therefore with gratitude we will endeavour to put before you the fruit of their labours, in the hope that such offerings may be of benefit to you, and that God Himself may be pleased to further use this selection of Christian hymns – Christian poetry for His glory.
We could go on, but this is only meant to be a brief introduction to this index, so let me note that as we begin we will list the hymns and poems in the alphabetical order of their author.
We will try to add more content to this new section quite often, as we hope that as the examples we list begins to grow, you may very soon find your personal favourites included amongst those we have selected.
