The Toronto Blessing 20 Years On : Learning Lessons from the Recent Past
It was in 1994 that many churches in the UK began to experience a phenomenon that came to be known as ‘The Toronto Blessing’. Thought by some people to be a work of the Holy Spirit, people experienced strange and bizaar manifestations such as shaking, uncontrollable laughter and being ‘slain in the Spirit’. What was it? What differences did it make? What legacy has it left behind? These were some of the questions that were addressed at a Conference, held here, at Crich Baptist Church, on Saturday, 20th September 2014.
The three speakers were, Chris Hand (Pastor, Crich Baptist Church); Mike Judge (Pastor, Chorlton Evangelical Church) and Walter Johnston (Pastor Emeritus, Chorlton Evangelical Church).
Each of the four sessions were recorded, and here are the four videos for your interest.
