"For
as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall
also the coming of the Son of Man be.........................and then shall appear the
sign of
Son of Man in Heaven...................and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the
clouds
of heaven with power and great glory" Matthew 24:27,30
Of the great doctrines of the Bible, one that causes great debate and not a
little controversy is that of the End Times. Is the 1000 years of Revelation 20 literal?
will Jesus Christ actually and literally reign on the earth before Satan is 'loosed out of
his prison? Will the church go through the tribulation? Will the 'Rapture' really be
secret? This church unashamedly takes an Amillennial view on the doctrine of the End
Times. We understand however that some other very sincere Christians will not always agree
with us. Whilst most of the following articles will be supportive of the view we are
expressing, we feel it only right to say that there may be others that explain the
Pre-Millennial, or Post-Millennial position. We cannot agree with either of these latter
interpretations but any such articles that are included are there to provide a balanced
and fair view of what churches in the Reformed tradition believe.
The views expressed are therefore those of the
writers, and not necessarily Crich Baptist Church.
